48. But when Gold Gloves are in play, I'm glad to be immaculate, regardless.

I dodged a few bullets by not trying to be cute about Angels GGs. (Joe Rudi won all his GGs in Oakland, Grich won all of his in Baltimore.) Still wish I could have done better…but I would have been more likely to guess Willy Aybar than Erick, so there it goes.

(Tries not to judge Westie for missing that lay-up in the center square…)

I was pleasantly surprised that Nevin was at 4%. I just assumed all the choices were going to be double digits.

Spike Shannon (!) should've been more rare, just for bragging rights.

Well, perhaps it's only one Del Pratt to a customer.

Westheim, I'm only joking. But I assumed you probably knew that Bobby was such garbage when we got him from SD (Kingman for Bobby and Paul Siebert, the opening act for the Midnight Massacre) because he had wrecked his body running into the wall in Anaheim, and merely blanked.

Apologies if I came off too snarky.

Nah, I just totally suck at this game, mentally. I can't seem to make cross references between what I have in my head in terms of "guy in uniform X", even about recent players. It's gross.

Brutal. The modern franchise kryptonite. I couldn't think of another 200 K Rockie other than the obvious one. And apparently Bert Blyleven didn't reach the 200 K plateau in Texas. That one hurt. Oh well, on vacation for the next week. Have fun.

Jason Jennings's career high in Ks was a lousy 142. He did lead the staff four times (2002-04, 2006), but that only shows what a pain this was, not that I was anywhere near an answer. (I even blanked on Ubaldo.)

After that, I took wild swing at the last spot, out of curiosity, and that was that.

207, which isn't bad for 2 whiffs, but that's hardly the point.

(And I had to pull a HoFer for Det/Cin, which is just lazy.)

Look at this competition. I think we need a Challenge Mode.

The wife is running late on packing, so I could squeeze this one in. Rarity 34. Tough to get a really low one with the long list of White Sox Cy Young winners.

Apparently Chris Sale did not win a Cy Young, but thx anyway for the clue for the bottom left square.

Also, I misplaced J.D. Martinez to Baltimore.

Rarity 371.

How to wreck a perfectly good grid in two steps.

One, grab the wrong Sox Cy. (Is it Thigpen we were looking for? Buehrle?)

Two, be absolutely cruising through the old-timers, look at the upper left and go, "Oh, yeah, Hobe Ferris. I remember finding that Library of Congress pic of him finishing out the string in Chi and posting it on the board."

Nope, genius, that was Hobe's DP partner, Freddie Parent. So much for the "1903 Boston Americans" theme.

Ah, it still would have sucked without the mystery Sox Cy. (Gary Peters, 1967?) But still, I'm miffed. Miffed that I whiffed.

ETA: Westheim had the "pair of Sox " pick that I should have made, just on principle.
