Right down the Olerud tube with you, Splitter. I would have thought the default Jay would be Vlad II or perhaps Molitor. Sigh.
And it was worse for me because others had followed in those footsteps by then. 38 for Olerud, 45 overall. Fairly proud of my Phillies selections, but Holy Johnny Hodapp! I was too scared to even try Burkett or Elmer Flick or Larry Gardner for early Indians. Never even dreamed of Hodapp or Ed Morgan. If I had a hat, I'd take it off to you. |

I did the NFL one yesterday and only got 5 of 9. Definitely not my strength.

I should've used Dick Davis for my Phillie Jay and John Vukovich for my Brewer Phillie. Didn't matter though with the Oleruding I received.

Ha, I came up with a plethora of alternatives for Brewer/Phil and Brewer/Cleveland. But considering the actual choices were a pair of 0.1s, I'll take that and just file the others away for now.

Bravo, pilight!
Ruined by own game (and wasted a nice set of Astrodomers) by managing to forget that all of Bucketfoot Al's All-Star appearances (including the famous Carl Hubbell strikeout) came as a White Sox, Connie having sold him off more swiftly than Foxx or Grove. Gah! Although I had honestly wrecked things already, as a whole lot of people remembered Conine's 37 games for KC, apparently. That's what I get for being lazy! Rarity 113. |

Grid 115. I should've trusted my instincts and went with my initial guesses of Terry Mathews as my Royal Marlin and Chuck Carr as my Marlin Met. So I waffled and went with my safe picks of Conine and Leiter.

I died many a grisly death in the Gold Glove column today.
Not Mike Trout? Really? There's something he hasn't won??? Besides a ring. Or a pennant. Or a playoff game.
