Reserve Roster 14 days

Ok, so I send my OVR 98 Gehrig to reserve roster 14 days ago. He had only 190 PA this season (and career for me), hitting .188 avg, .634 OPS. My home park is Globe Life Field.

Frustrated with him I put him on reserve and figured I would put a sell order on him since he is unavailable anyway. He doesn't sell, so I decide to give him another chance. I take him off the market only to find that 14 days later I see a dreaded 14 still by his name.

Why does it have to be that way? I can see that because I put him on the market he wasn't actually on the reserve roster; but either way being unavailable for 14 days should suffice, no?

Does anyone know the reason for this?

My wife and I got knocked out with the flu this week and I must still be blitzed because my thinker hurts and I'm a quart low on blinker fluid. I am not seeing how suspending the 14 days while in Card Shop facilitates abuse.

I did presume it had something to do with what you are saying, just not understanding how. As I suggested, no doubt due to my clogged brain.

Time stands still for cards in the card shop. It is the same thing if you had de-activated, instead. Time stands still for inactive cards. As for why, I just assume there are technical reasons. 99% of cards in the game are inactive, so I speculate that it would be an enormous burden to track?

Good thought. I did wonder too, if it was a programming issue.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna let the kid Gehrig have another chance after 28 days. This league is Diamond btw. One game out of WC right now. Just wanna go down in flames in style.

Done by cheaters putting their top cards in the AH at exorbitant prices so that they do not sell. Then they lose in the playoffs and stay in the low league to reap PP when they pull those perfects off the Market on Monday to clobber the league again. Tanking was a way of life for cheaters early on.

Gotcha! That mindset to do that is fascinating to me. I play to win period. Probably why I couldn't figure that out. Thanks Kushiel.

That doesn't have anything to do with why there is a 14 day waiting period.
The slate is wiped clean for all cards during the processing for a new season.

More likely, there is a 14-day waiting period to prevent people from micro-ing their lineups every game and gain an unfair advantage over those who have a real life to live.

If the programmers could not solve that they need fired.

People did hide players on the AH.

Hey, they had Koufax, Roberts, Glavine, Berkman, and Teixeira. All the wrong versions, of course, but they were just playing up to potential.
