Nick Sullivan has led the Hustler rotation with a 2.71 era in 11 starts with a 5-2 record. Ben Phillips and Alex Gutierrez have been solid in the back end for us as well.
This being said…..Nashville ranks last in the league in runs scored…. |

Chicago Iron Pigs (31-28) - 1 Nashville Hustlers (22-8) - 2 Hustler starter Nick Sullivan turned in a fine effort to lead the Hustlers to victory. He tossed 7 innings of 1 run baseball while only allowing 3 hits. Sullivan's record goes to 6-2 on the year. 19 year old CF Leonis Vazques contributed a timely hit in the bottom of the 2nd. With 2 down, he hit a splitter into left field for a single scoring 2. That would prove to be all the runs the Hustlers would need as Phillips and Gutierrez would come on to shut it down iat the end of the ball game. |
