Rounding Home

Imagine OOTP but the game's rules are altered to allow baserunners to round home and try for first, 2nd, etc. 1/2 run if forced out at or tagged out along the way to first. Safe at first? Run scored + runner on first. Obviously could round first for 2nd too if circumstances permit. Would up the runs scored and excitement. Definitely change the game's dynamics / strategy.

This reminds me of questions/comments submitted to the Effectively Wild podcast. The best questions they get are questions that are variations of "If baseball were different, how different would it be [and still be baseball]?"

By even thinking of this concept, it tells me you might enjoy current (and past) episodes - esp. the archives where questions like this are responded to.

While I like many of the new rules added to speed up the game I hope nobody from the MLB offices runs across this post. You never know what it might lead to
