Where to you find the "historical id" of players?
I've used the search function on these forums. I've looked over BB-reference too. I must be missing something easy but I can't find the player's historical ids. With the universal face-gen file (that I have installed) that does not help.
I did read about finding the BB-ref id (perryge01) at the end of the player url which, of course doesn't work. However doing another google I linked to Gerald Perry and with this link the code at the end of the url is the historical id. (perry-002ger). I have no idea how or why the second url came up? IF there is a way to force this url instead of default I'll have my answer. ![]() What I'm trying to do is to "fix" my HOF players that are missing pics. This is an imported league started in v4 so the retired players have no id's of any kind on their editor tab. By searching the universal face-gen thread I did find Ken Griffey Jr and his historical id, typed it in, and it worked like a charm. I could continue to try searching that thread for other names but if they don't have an individual post in this thread I'll come up empty. Long winded way of asking what is probably obvious Where does one find historical ids?

In the screenshot, I hovered over the link to the minors page so it appears as white lettering on gray background in the header below the bio and before the stats on the MLB default page. Click it and see the webpage address - that's the number 1 facegen tag (perry-001gay). The Historical Minors code can also seen in the OOTP editor page for any player.

Hi guys,
I'm working on my own 2023 photo pack. I need the Historical Minors ID for each player tho. Looking at the deGrom page above you see the Historical Minors ID in the link. But when I try to export the player links I get the degroja01 version of his ID. It works via the Pro Register for the minor teams but do you know a way to simply get the mlb teams links? You know what I mean? |

When you say a 2023 pack, do you mean you are just looking for the codes for the 23 debuts or for a much larger data set - like all the players player in the game currently (for sake of a bright line, call it the ones covered by the MLBPA license)?
And the trouble is trying to export them (or any) to a csv file from OOTP?
