Historical rookies to original teams

Any updates on progress of fixing historical rookies to go to original teams? The only way I can get the game to import historical rookies at all is to enable the amateur draft. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game since that has fixed other issues for some people, but it was no help for this issue.

This issue appears to be back in GO 23. I started a game after importing IAP's from the original GO, disabled amateur draft and made sure that import historical rookies was checked. Than I simmed to the offseason, than I went to player search and searched for players that I knew debuted next season and they weren't there.

It’s ridiculous this hasnt been addressed. Its months now and im still stuck playing the previous ootp go because i dont want to commit to a franchise until the issue is fixed. Please devs.

Yeah, this really does need to be fixed soon. It's a issue that's fundamental to the app, not just a cosmetic problem.

Has this problem still not been fixed? The game is sort of useless if no new players arrive each season, and adding fictional players is just not as fun as adding real players. I too have a historical db not found warning, and new rookies do not show up. Does it help if I buy the new season as well?

I dont know about rookies to real teams but you do need to own the following season to get real players instead of fictional. So if you purchased and played 1980 you need to have purchased 1981 to get real players in the draft and so on.

We were told early on we can ignore the historical data base error It has no effect.

I own every season in ootp go 23. You can draft historical rookies each year just fine. You just can’t, for some reason (probably the historical db issue, regardless of what they are saying), use the option of simply having them added to their original teams each year upon arrival. I still am stuck playing the original ootp go because of this issue. And my opinion of the devs has certainly decreased for their lack of response, at minimum.
