Team Automatically Dumps Players into FA

Hello,
I'm new to OOTP. We have set up an online league, and we're just getting ready to start our season. We have successfully set the league up, and are exporting files (except for the occasional error).


I'm the commish in the league, but there are two other commissioners as well. One thing I've noticed, is the other commish's team constantly dumps his entire team into FA when we try to save it.


He has to manually go in, and fix it, and the next time we save, it dumps into FA again. This doesn't happen to any other team.


Is it a glitch? How can we fix this problem? Its beyond annoying, and we haven't even begun to sim yet.

One other question. I have player(s) in the league who are suspended. I turned off suspensions, but the player(s) are still suspended. I need a way to activate those players for the start of the year, and can't figure out how to do it. There doesn't seem to be an action to end the suspension.

Can't help with FA dumping problem.

For the suspended players, someone with Commish power has to edit each player to remove the suspension time left. It will be on the player editor tab, left side about half way down.

What about guys who are draft eligible on the game, but you want them to become FAs? How can I fix that?

There may be a simpler way but if you go to that Draft Eligible player and via the Player Editor, assign him to a team manually (halfway down left-hand side) called "Team Information, Select New Team" - that wipes his eligibility for the draft. Then, immediately use that same editor function to take him off whatever random team you put him on and make him a FA.

Is there anything unique about the team that is dropping players? Is it in a foreign country? Is this an MLB 2023 Standard game? Historical? Fictional?

No. We're all using MLB players (and minors). Our team rosters are custom to our league, but there are no fictional, historical, or even foreign professionals from elsewhere. Just guys who are in the MLB, or affliated with it. Must be currently active.


His roster is no different in terms of makeup, to anyone else's in the league.

Okay, thank you. I actually want to assign those players to a team, but wasn't sure if I could do it without making them a FA first, and sign to that team.


The way you explained it, saves me a step.

I asked about what team he was because there are toggles that one might accidently turn on like under League Settings>Rules where you can block foreign players from being allowed on the roster... so if he were the Blue Jays and that were accidently checked to None Allowed, all but the Canadians would get dropped from the roster. That kind of thing where the game is actually following some roster rule that only he is getting ensnared in.

You may want to post that part (Roster Rules) in a screenshot to see if anyone in the community notices something. From a team-specific problem, I can only think of the "Do not allow AI roster changes" on the Manage home screen that might bork things if he alone toggled it.

Once again looking to see if anyone has any answers to this. The GM isn't doing anything different than any other GM, and its very frustrating.


The only thing I can think of is we're both commissioner in the league, and something just isn't synced up correctly between his saves, and mine.


If anyone has a solution to this, please share.


I'm thinking maybe he can import his roster to file, send it to me, I can download it, and re-import it on my end, then export to ftp?


I'm not sure what's going on, but it dumps his players every single time. No other team is ever affected.
