Is there a way to change strategy settings during a game?

I was wondering if a certain game mode was possible. I appreciate the play-by-play feature, but I don't find it very realistic. Is there a way to change the global strategy sliders as the game progresses? I'd like to tell the players before each inning what my preferences are, but I don't want to instruct them exactly what to do before each pitch.

I do not think you can change strategy settings during a game. You can, of course, manage one (or both) of the teams, and make your own strategy decisions in real time. And, before the game, you can set strategy for each team, including for different parts of the game, as well as for each individual player if you want. That would be labor-intensive; but you would only have to do it once a season (subject to adjustments during the year, of course).

You can save the game and exit to the page for the strategy, adjust it then resume the game. Not sure if the new settings would start then or after the game, tho.

Thanks. Another question: When using PBP do strategy sliders have any effect on the game? I guess they do not?

I still don't get it and I would appreciate a response from someone knowledgeable. If I am managing the games, and I take control of everything, including PBP, but then I skip half-innings at a time or skip to RISP. During the skipped periods the game basically calculates what is happening. The question is, will my players perform according to the strategy settings I have set, or my staff takes over and tells them what to do when I'm skipping? To simplify the question: Is there a scenario in which strategy settings have an effect while watching games in 3D.
