The only time I have seen this is with none-Silva parks. It has to do with the way the park was built in skecthup, i.e the base of the field bullt right on the underlining base, I think.

If there is an historic park that you need and it has made by Silva, I suggest using that one.

That may indeed be the issue. All my fields seem to work fine in OOTP24 and mine are a single image layer for the field with no underlying Sketchup layer at all. Stacked Sketchup layers might be the issue.

I just wanted to express my thanks to @silvam14 for this incredible work. I have been off-and-on playing OOTP for many years, currently on OOTP24, and had never used add-ons like these stadiums. I'm a huge fan of historical simulations and usually play the game that way, but just had no idea about this feature.

The sheer amount of joy created by this work is hard to describe. This is so damn cool! Thank you for all of your contributions.

Just FYI silvam, this download link seems to be broken so I can't use this stadium (Anaheim Stadium 1966-1979).

What can I have missed ?
Playing historical on OOTP 23, and decided to play out some games in 3D.
Looking at Wrigley for Cubs in 1991 I got no "background" at all. The stuff I know was there in OOTP 22 and earlier is just blacked out.

Is there anything that I can do to get back those nice backgrounds. Plenty off them in many parks.

It looks to be only these by Silvram made parks, since installing Wrigley that came with the game everything is there. The famous rooftops.
(Wrigley has lost its soul without them)

Wrigley could work still but many of the parks back then isn't in the game unless one DL this faboulous pack (That worked just right in the past)

I am not on any Mac and not on Steam.

What to do ????

In the park editor in game, try checking the box related to skyboxes. Not sure if that is your problem

This is what I see (The skybox is checked)
I actually never to anything put manually click in the prk-file.
It is different on the left side with those rooftops between OOTP 22 and 23. Using the same file. You can see your own photo for Wrigley and this.
Now no background at all was a bit over stress it. It's the houses on the left I miss. When first looked I had it on Night time. So Day show the rest, but those classic houses might not have been back in 1990s, so then I'm wrong and everything is OK.
But you can see the difference on that left side. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...8&postcount=86

I am using Ebbets Field from 1957 and I keep getting views obstructed by the stands. It is like I am watching the game from behind someone's seat. Is there a way to move this?

I think that has something to do with the dynamic camera. You can definitely fiddle with the cameras in the park editor to see if you can fix it

Unfortunately. There is no way that I have found to fix that from happening. Hopefully there will be some added flexibility with camera la going forward

If you can find out what camera is causing that, you can either disable that view from being dynamic, or you can edit that camera so that stadium structures aren't in the way. It's difficult at first, but with a little practice it's possible to fix.

Without more ways to customize them or specify how you want them to work, dynamic cameras are kinda useless.

They're not perfect but they are greatly improved. With OOTP's default MLB stadiums I have not had any views obstructed during game play, though only 65ish games into my first season so haven't played in all of them. Occasionally when the camera pans the stadium before the game the camera may momentarily lose some of the view (Ie at Wrigley sometimes a rafter partially obstructs the camera, which kind of adds a bit of character to the presentation IMHO).

As far as Silvam's parks and all of their different cameras it's not surprising there are some conflicts. Not Silvam's fault, of course, and there's no way I'd expect him to search out the conflicts and fix them. He's already done yeoman's work in supplying us with a great mod. Nor is it OOTP's fault either IMHO. It just is what it is.

jg2977 is correct they can be fixed by closely observing game play in stadiums with the issue and figuring out exactly which camera it is, or disabling the camera for dynamic use. I haven't played many historical games but I did have the issue at Comiskey 1970. It was obvious the camera was "sticking" behind a scoreboard on the second deck facade. I actually think it was a default v24 camera that I had imported into the historical stadiums that was causing the issue. Anyway I simply opened the stadium in the editor, went through cameras until I ran across the culprit, zoomed slowly until I could see the field, saved camera. Next game all was well.

I love the stadium pan, pregame, and the dynamic camera during games in Silvam's historical parks. The occasional conflict is more than made up for by the added atmosphere in "Silvam's time machine".

Just read a fascinating article in Seamheads about Brookside Park in Cleveland. it’s a natural amphitheater, high banks on three sides, that hosted huge crowds for amateur games in the dead-ball days. Estimates are that more than 100,000 crowded the hillsides (free admission), and he old photos document those crowds. The field is still there, although the surrounding hills are now covered with trees and brush, so no one could sit there now.

So, this would be an ambitious project indeed for someone wanting to construct a 3D model. Way beyond my capabilities; but there is lots of background on the field and environs.

Silvam, hate to add to your backlog. Any interest??

No issues with uploading my ballparks.

Anyways, Silva, any plans on doing a new Rangers ballpark version? Thanks.

Silvam, I was wondering if you can help me with this. Starting with OOTP 23 last year, some of your parks have a perma-black sky, even during the day. That's the way it looks in game with a camera view of say, overview. But when I open the 3D model, this is what's happening, in the picture below. A lot, but not all, of your ballparks do this on my Mac. Any ideas on how to fix this?

*Just wanted to rephrase, some of your parks don't have a perma-black sky, it's just the way some are appearing on my Mac. Your ballparks are amazing!

Fellow Mac user here. I often (to make seeing my skyboxes easier) open the background png files in the stadium mods and Apple-A Apple-X Apple-S them to have an empty but still existing file. Works pretty well.
