Honestly, it's excellent! We had the equivalent of a spam-bot demand about fifty logos over three days, only to suddenly log off.

It was silly and completely unserious, and yet people have been making them! Tonnage has done great work. I ended up reading about cinnabar moths for a whole day and precisely judging the relative dimensions of a moth, a caterpillar, and a baseball.



Besides that, we've got kevin's amazing longterm project for Eugene, we've got forum legend tx helping people with reconcepting logos, we've got people helping each other with beginner explanations, and someone like me, who has hung around here getting advice for months and now can really make stuff.


I think that people should keep requesting things, even long lists, you never know what name and city combination might interest someone to make it! And I think that the people who check this board all the time should be proud of it

Hey guys, I wasn't sure what to think of NewYorkYankeesDude but I thought what the heck, I've got some time. Now that you mention it though, perhaps I'm doing this all for naught! LOL! Oh well, I'm having fun, and if anybody wants to use what I've built, it's there. I'll even change the main team name if requested. I'm going to continue down the list, at least for now. I was amazed that you took on that guy's project. Your results so far are excellent! It seems like it's been a while since someone made a large league of fictional logos and uniforms (since "low" ran out of steam on his project). I doubt the original poster will ever use your uniforms but a lot of other people surely will.

If so, I also wasted my time doing his Pittsburgh Hounds.

I thought it strange that he didn't even thank the two of us that did logos for him.

Even if he didn't like them, he should of at least thanked us for our efforts.

Why in the world would someone do such a thing?

I thought the request was... a lot to say the least, but who trolls a graphics mod forum??

I will say though it has lead to some great logos which I'm sure the community will be able to use!

Hate to even bring this up but I wonder if he is outsourcing work? I've never charged (and never will) for OOTP logos but I do charge for Football Manager logos on sites like Fiverr.

People have willingly paid me for those logos (its a bit more complicated and requires a bit of coding to add team logos to Football Manager so they get a lot more than simply a new badge).

That being said, the teams he wanted were kind of ridiculous.

On the topic of requests, would anyone be kind enough to take a crack at the Quad City Riverbandits rebrand? They've gone to blue instead of black/red. In the new for 2023 I linked everything I could find. Just couldn't find a road jersey. The new format or old one... doesn't matter to me

Another interpretation is just a person who got this game and played it for an intense week, came up with lots of ideas for leagues that never got set up, and is already on to the next thing

Absolutely. I plan on re-doing some of the minor league organizations in my fictional league with some of those designs

agree! tonnage your work is stellar! I am in the embryonic stages of doing my own league (logos and all) and with the help of some of these masters ive become "ok" at designing stuff...never to the level of the afore mentioned! HUGE thanks to all who have helped me in the past. If i get to where i feel worthy (read: somewhat confident) i may post some of the random creations my noggin came up with

Based on this, should I then be abandoning the builds? What's the consensus? I don't feel I should be building from his list if in fact I may be contributing to some other community or something outside of OOTP.

NYDude never responded to your standout work... nothing.

If it were me, I wouldn't do anymore for him.

You would be better off doing work for people who appreciate your time, talent and effort.

Just do work for all of the OOTP Community.

FWIW I will definitely use some of the ones you made for him because they are outstanding, so they weren't a complete waste of time.

This community is fantastic and really increases my enjoyment of the game. Whenever I get the itch to start up some new league with strange geographic parameters I just dig through these boards and always find some excellent logos to build it around.

Glad they all won't go to waste. If you need team name locations changed on any of them just ask. I believe I have a psd saved for each of them so the change would be easy. Cheers!
