Need a better system for promotion

I think the developers need to find a better way to promote teams other than performance in their current league.

I get the pay for play model. I am not naïve nor am I attempting to be critical of that model. I get hours of joy from this game without paying an extra dime (except PT+) nor am I critical of people who want to dump a bunch of money into their team, whatever makes you happy.

Last weak in my iron level league there was a team that won 133 games then swept me in the world series. I looked at their team and it was all perfect cards, most historical, and clearly the best team money can buy. Again, not annoyed about that. This morning I saw the same team now promoted to a bronze league I am in. I looked at their history and saw they won rookie, stone, and iron.

My question is shouldn't their be a way to promote a team to a league appropriate for the talent level as opposed to just moving them up the rung? I get it if someone starts at a certain level then upgrades their team that week and wins, but it is frustrating knowing before the season even starts my team has no shot at winning.

Most of those teams will be gone in a few weeks.. Your team will level off faster than them.

I get that, but IMO it is stupid and annoying to organically build a team then have zero chance to win at the lower levels because someone purchased their team. Just promote them right to Gold or wherever.

If someone spends money on perfect points, I think they are entitled to a little fun on the way up (and a rebate of sorts).

There's no hurry

Winning a ring is just for show, the goal is to maximize the number of PP's you earn each week. And you don't have "no chance." Upsets happen all the time in the playoffs, both in real life and in this game. Four teams in MLB have won 116 games in their regular season, only one turned that into a World Series win.
