End of Season 04, v24
Baltimore Barons (PT+)
Gold .311, 83-79, Stays in Gold, First .500+ season 2 Perfects (SP Verlander 11-13, 3.67 ERA), LF Juan Soto (.260/.390/.422) FROM - 2 Perfects, 11 Diamonds, 10 Golds, 3 Silvers TO - 2 Perfects, 16 Diamonds, 8 Gold Roster has improved enough to get over .500 and PT+ card Christian Yelich wins Batting Champion Award (.312/.422/.489) earning me 2,250 PP. Purchased Jose Ramirez to replace Anthony Rendon at 3B with PPs earned at end of season. The five Diamond additions were SP Henry McHenry (96), RP Jhoan Duran (94), RP Andres Munoz (98), C Alex Avila (91), and 3b Jose Ramerez. Cleveland Commodores (F2P) Iron .173, 91-71, Made Playoffs, Stays in Iron No Perfects FROM - 4 Diamonds, 9 Golds, 8 Silvers, 5 Bronze TO - 6 Diamonds, 12 Golds, 8 Silvers A rather successful season but bittersweet since the team had to fall to Iron to make the Playoffs. We are the 12th best team and could remain in Iron if we lose to a wildcard team. The two Diamond additions were SP Si Johnson (91) and CF Andre Johnson (96). Holding onto 3,239 PPs until I see how playoffs turn out. UPDATE 1; The Commodores lost their wildcard series - thus missing promotion to Bronze by one game. They ended with 3,708 PPs which I will now try and figure out how best to use for next season. Akron Aeros (F2P) Silver .262, 88-74, Made Playoffs, Promoted to Gold 1 Perfect (LF Tim Raines, .269/.380/.452) FROM - 9 Diamonds, 15 Golds, 2 Silvers TO - 1 Perfect, 10 Diamonds, 14Golds, 1 Silvers Picked up LF Tim Raines (100) and 1B Kevin Youkilis (97). Have 3,042 PPs to spend but again, I'm going to wait to see how the playoffs turn out. UPDATE 1; The Aeros marched all the way to the World Series, but then lost it 4 games to 2. Not bad for a wild card team with 88 wins The team did end up, however, with 9,511 PPS with various awards including the MVP by CF Duke Snyder (98). Hopefully I can turn that into a lead player. One could argue that the Aeros, being an F2P team, have done just as well as the Barons, a PT+ team. At this point, however, I think it's mostly due to luck. More time will clarify that opinion.

Quito Mosquitos (PT+)
Silver 93-69 3rd place 15 GB, 2nd wild card. A splendid reverse sweep in the LCS was spoiled by a devastating loss in game 7 of the finals after being up 3 games to 1 and ahead 9-3 in game 7 after 8.5 innings played. At least, the PT23 Quito Mosquitos didn't blow it and won a Diamond League Championship. |

The Magus Family of Teams
New York Patriots
83-79 in Gold, promoted to Diamond thanks to a short league Good news! The Patriots won two playoff games! Bad news...they also lost three, which means they didn't advance past the divisional round. Current points balance: 0 (50k coming in the morning) Brooklyn Dynasty - GOLD PLAYERS ONLY 101-61 in Stone, promoted to Iron They were swept up in the glitch that ended a lot of seasons early. They ended up losing in the LCS in 6 games. Current points balance: I think around 2k. Last edited by Magus978; 04-23-2023 at 09:23 PM. |
