This. Last year, I could run up inventories of 60 packs. This year, I'm lucky to get beyond 10. And it's not like I'm not doing well enough. I'm winning about one in eight, so that's well ahead of the curve in 16-team tourneys. The rewards reduction has cost me about 60 packs so far, which is a lot more than the bump for PT+ (at $6.99 out of pocket) has gained me.

If the pack rewards were still 10 packs (and if there were actually enough quick tourneys to play in), I'd be playing hardcore just like last year, going for a Perfect League title as F2P.

I agree, there is nothing that will make up for the massive loss of pack revenue from quick tourneys.

So true. I had a team that won three tournaments in a row. I thought, wow, I don't think I've ever done that before! Then, I realized, 9 friggin' packs for three straight tournament wins. What a disappointment.

Probably why the growth of the game is minimal. PT had team 4500 teams at launch, 6000 2nd week, 6500 the 3rd week. You take all the little changes they made because it has now become more of a money grab than anything else, and you alienate your fan base. Add the fact that there are still certain things they can not get right on the backend, they will never get back to 50,000 teams playing perfect team 2 years ago. There have been some really good improvements to the game, but they made the game for a select few instead of the masses.

Except, you got those 9 packs in 6 hours. That is only 1 pack less than winning 10 in 6 hours in PT23. Theoretically, it is possible to win 12 packs in 6 hours with PT Plus.

I know that they want to get more people making in game purchases, but I don't like that they have diminished the rewards to try and get you to pay more. I already paid for the game, it just feels like I am now getting less in return for my money. This is not a good direction to go in. Make the game free then, at least I won't feel like I'm getting less.

But the select few won't hang around either when they don't have the rest of us to beat up on and to sell them the cards they want to do it with.

100% Agree!! There was a nice jump in teams this week. Probably because of the release of GO, but we will see where we are next week. I attribute at least half the increase to ability to create as many teams as you have emails. The next couple of weeks will tell where the game is at.

3 teams per account. Many people play on two and some even more licenses. Just buy another and you can have 6.

And if you use ootpgo to sign up, you can sign up as many teams as you have email addresses, and then sign on using your computer with the accounts you created. While I do not do it, because three teams is all my head can handle, I know some that have 4,5 or 6 teams.

Actually, if you played last year, you can play 6 teams without buying another license. I think I heard this on an official stream, but maybe I was dreaming or enhanced with lively liquids.

Exactly, if you bought the game last year that counts as a license and your teams are associated with that license. When you active those three teams from PT23 this year in PT24 they're still associated with your PT23 license, so now you can use the license you acquired when you bought PT24 to create three new teams.

If everything stays as it is when PT25 drops you'll get to activate all your PT23 and PT24 teams and then get three more teams with your PT25 license.

It's like a hydra.

3 is my limit this year. Two of them I started and are pretty much on autopilot until and if I want to try anything.

This is what happens when a very shady mobile game company buys OOTP.

This is exactly like a garbage mobile game now, how they have everything set up. Except we paid $40 (and more if you do PT+). They really should be ashamed.

Definitely my last year with any OOTP, this **** is pathetic. Been around since like 2014 too.

I have great respect for you Bailey and usually find your posts quite valuable, so I always read what you have to say.

In this case, I disagree with you strongly. I farm pack drops every day with meaningless impact on my team.

Well, I just started a new team this week where the goal is to field 26 historical perfect cards by the debut of PT25 using only achievement points and login rewards. So, no twitch drops, tournament spam, or PT Plus. Maybe, not even PT Alive. I am planning to report on it on Mr. HRBaker's weekly thread. It did start with loyalty rewards of 5 gold packs and 3 diamond packs, so may invalidate the experiment somewhat. Do you think that 26 historical perfect cards on this meager budget is doable or constitutes "meaningful impact"?
