End of Season 03, v24
Baltimore Barons (PT+)
Gold .307, 74-88, Stays in Gold 2 Perfects (Verlander 11-13, 4.56 ERA), Juan Soto (.270/.438/.421) FROM - 2 Perfects, 10 Diamonds, 11 Golds, 3 Silvers TO - 2 Perfects, 11 Diamonds, 10 Gold, 3 Silvers Same roster = same results. A bad week as far as improving the team other than the Christian Yelich, PT+ addition (.306/.405/.491, 84 games). Next week will get me at least 16 std. packs, 4 Silver, and 2 Diamond packs per the Punch List. I need to land at least another Active roster position. Cleveland Commodores (F2P) Bronze .223, 69-93, Relegated to Iron FROM - 3 Diamonds, 9 Golds, 6 Silvers, 8 Bronze TO - 4 Diamonds, 9 Golds, 8 Silvers, 5 Bronze Remains the weakest team and finds itself in Iron next week. Added 1B Pete Alonso(92) but it wasn't enough to keep up with the other teams improvements. Tempted to influx $$ but one of my goals is to see the difference PT+ makes, thus my Baltimore team is PT+ and the other two are not. Akron Aeros (F2P) Gold .313, 67-95, Relegated to Silver FROM - 4 Diamonds, 17 Golds, 5 Silvers TO - 9 Diamonds, 15 Golds, 2 Silvers This team improved a lot - but not nearly enough to stay with the runners in Gold .313). I managed to add Frank Tanana(95), Wilber Wood(95), Gary Lucas(92), Orlando Hudson(90), and Ronald Acuna Jr.(97) with the 25,000 PT Gold bonus, but the improved roster just didn't click. Hope springs eternal... PS: One late pickup (last pack of season) was 1B Deacon White (88) who will backup C, RF, DH, 1B, and will be first on the pinch hitter list. That will get him into about 50% of the games and is a big improvement over the previous backups. That will result in one Gold, one Silver, and one Bronze team. So far PT+ is leading the pack.

I had a team in Bronze 223 also
Another FTP team, but we had a little better luck than you and finished 82-80, just missing the 3rd WC spot. We went 5-1 against you. My team for most of the year was Hoiles/Klu/Stennett/Brooks/Turner/Gordon/McCormick/Guerrero/DiMaggio with a rotation of Tanana, Woodruff, Shields, Gallen, and Castillo. Mid-season I picked up Ford for Shields and Rolen for Turner. And last night with my login Historical pack I was graced with Brian Giles, who chased McCormick to the bench and DiMaggio to CF.
This morning I said goodbye to Stennett and Gordon, and bought Joe Gordon and Carl Crawford - the transaction was a small PP plus for me but mostly it swapped Gordon's amazing LF defense for Crawford's 102 and upgraded my 2B defense to help cover for Brooks. I'm also close to finishing the Cubs' mission for Tinker. But I expect that all these moves will just keep me as a middle of the pack Bronze level team as more and more teams bubble up through the ranks with 4 years worth of improvements. So my projected team for next year will have diamonds Guerrero, Tanana, Woodruff, Ford, Giles, Dimaggio, Crawford, and probably Tinker with two silver relievers and the rest golds. |

Patriots went 79-83. Would have made the playoffs if we didn't just lay down and die against lefties. Added 100 Pujols mid-week after pulling and selling a Webster McDonald. It did not help.
Entire starting rotation not named Paul Splittorff was a trainwreck. 100 Jack Chesbro was exemplary in the art of prolapsing on the mound, and wins my "GFY you untalented oaf" award for the week. Attempts to get 6 figures for him failed, so I reluctantly have to bring him back for next week. I expect no less than 15 losses and an ERA near 5. Specialist in failure for sure. Cleveland Locomotives (F2P)
Dum Dum Bengals (F2P) Started to reserve username, but starter packs were not opened. These teams are officially registered, but not in any league whatsoever. Will be waiting with loyalty packs in hand should I ever want to start new teams. |

F2P team South Florida Heat, Stone division.
Year 1 missed WC by a game Year 2 got into WC by a game, got swept (against PT+ team) Year 3 got into WC by 2 games, swept the WC round (PT + team), got swept in Divisional series (PT + team) Glad I’m competing against those paying. Grinding missions, roster adjustments, etc seem to be working. |
