Managing against AI after setting opponent lineup

I'd like to manage against another team simulating the current season. I understand how to manage both teams and play quickly to the end. But what if I want to manage against the other team using the actual lineup they used in the real world that day?

It seems like the only way to do this is to select "Human Control" under "Manage Substitutions." But then there are never any substitutions made. Is there any way to set the opponent's starting lineup and batting order and then turn the opponent's game completely over to AI? Thanks.

I have never used it but wouldn't live start accomplish this

Does Live Start do that day's lineups? I thought it just handled roster updates.
