Euro: signed player without contract, get's released right away

Player without a contract, sign him and after the contract is confirmed, the player is automatically released by the club (in Finnish Liiga). There's room in salary budget so that's not an issue.

I'm also controlling signings etc. myself, so it shouldn't be AI messing up with my dealings.

Signing was done offseason, if that helps to point out the issue. Haven't seen this sort of behaviour before in previous patch versions, as I've even signed a same player those times...no issues then.

Yeah, mutual termination should only be happening like that with AI-run teams. All of the manager options were set to you and not the assistant? And was Boudon on your activate roster when that happened, or had you assigned him to another team?

Roster moves were done (as it was a post season) by the assistant, but transactions were (and have been) controlled by me. (Saves a new clicks when I don't have to deal with every injured player and move him back to active squad.)

If I got it right, roster moves controlled by the assistant shouldn't include a mutual termination?

I had no chance to do a thing. As the screenshots show (check news ids), the termination happened right after a deal was confirmed by the player.

Ah, I know what happened. With roster moves under the assistant's control, the AI made the decision to send Boudon down. When that happens to a foreign player (in a league with foreign player limits), it'll automatically offer him the opportunity to terminate the contract, to avoid the unrealistic situation of many good foreign players getting loaned out by the team that signed them. That's working as intended, then.

OK, if that really is the case! Appreciate the answer. (Though, I'd like to have a final control if a player will be released as transactions are controlled by me...better to turn that assistant feature off!)
