Some Questions About Fictional Leagues

1) Why can't I scout International players until after the season ends?
In previous versions, I could add international players to my international training complex through most of the year. My scouts would send me notices that they discovered some hot young player.

This no longer happens. Why? What is the point of having international scouts if they aren't allowed to scout?

2) Why are managers, coaches, etc always so low in rating? These are supposedly the best coaches and managers in the world and they are lucky to have even 1 skill above average.

This has been a problem that has persisted for years.

3) Why do we no longer get updates on player stat changes?

4) Does anyone else have issues trying to do the HR Derby? When I try to play for a player, after the first swing, it just slowly runs the clock down and never gives me an option - or graphic - to swing again.

5 Why does the trade AI still propose such horribly bad trades? Why does it waste my time day after day trying to trade their 35 year old has been for 2 of my best prospects? The only way to get decent offers is to shop a player around. The ones that come via email are 95% flat out stupid suggestions. It really detracts from the enjoyment of the game.

I will add an update. After 4 full seasons, I FINALLY had an international scout tell me he found a player. Used to get many players a year. 1 in 4+ years?????

I play fictional all the time and just in my first 3 weeks in game I've had 5. Something is wrong in your settings.

1. Not seeing what you're seeing. Have scouts finding international discoveries right from the get go. What are your settings for the # of Scouting Discoveries per team, per year?

2. Which rating? Do you mean their individual ratings such as influence mechanics, teach pitching, hitting, etc etc? Or do you mean their overall reputation? I get a good mix of coaches with a variety of individual ratings from hi to low when I start a fictional league. For reputation, they mostly are low to start off, but once a few seasons pass this will change.

It hasn't been a persistent problem in my experience. Have gotten good variety of coaches for the past few versions.

3. Not sure which stats you're referring to. Player stats update with each AB/PA during game play. Perhaps you're talking about live update? Not sure on that as I don't use it.

I'm not playing OOTP24, but my experience with fictional leagues is that there aren't any coaches with good ratings at the beginning of the save. Maybe the individual ratings are affected by the reputation rating, and they have to earn respect? In my current save, I always liked my pitching coach better than his ratings. Now his ratings have improved and he wants me to pay him more than I make.
