Having issues with the game. Initial install took about 30 minutes. Patch install failed. Then I uninstalled game after two failed attempts of installing patch. It took three hours to install the game the second time and game loads take over an hour. Anyone else having this problem? Computer is two months old.

Since I clean-installed the OOTP 24, the error message of live-start has not popped up.
The issue has been resolved.

If I bought the game from STEAM do I get the patch from the steam site, if so I don't see it. or do I reinstall the game and overwrite the currently installed version? Im confused about the links you provided, it seems relevant only if you bought the game from the OOTP webstore. The game keeps crashing while playing, never had an issue with that in the past.

Steam automatically updates the game by default. I think you can still disable updates under preferences in your Steam account, so unless you have done that the game should be up to date. You can check your version number on the bottom of the splash screen.

So it looks like I have "Always keep this game updated" in steam pref. and when I go to the download screen it says auto updates enabled, but I don't see a history of the patch. (screens attached) So I assume its updating.
If the patch is installed, then I have to figure out why it crashes during gameplay. One note is that I am using mods (stadiums, sounds) from ootp 22 and incorporating them into ootp 24, not sure if that's causing the issue. Also, the game is not installed on my windows C drive but internal D hard drive.

I'm not really sure that the mods you have installed would create an issue here, but for troubleshooting purposes it would probably be best if you could uninstall them and let us know if you still see the same issues without them installed.

Then if you can turn on trace mode, and when you do see a crash, let us know just what happened immediately before the crash, as well as send us a trace file, that would be a big help.

I know we still have one extremely rare but incredibly annoying in-game crash we're trying to hunt down and fix. But this seems to be something like a once in every fifty games occurrence, so if you're seeing this happen more frequently there may be something else going on.

Ok, thank you! I dont know how to turn on or do trace mode, but I just played a couple of games and both crashed during gameplay. It happens when I try to make substitutions. I removed the mod stadiums and played with the stadiums that came with the game. I have the game installed in the same internal hard drive as my other ootp games so I think that's ok. I read your post on crashes and will try those steps (update graphic card, update direct x etc) and see if any of those methods work. Love this game so its worth it for me to try to get it to work.

Are you sure you're on the latest build? We did have some substitution related bugs before, but I'm 99.9% sure we fixed them all in the last few builds, culminating in 48.

If you look at the start screen, what does it say for the version number?

please reinstall ootp. if that does not help start ootp user with admin permissions,or install game in customer folder

Will contracts be updated in the next patch? I noticed even with live start for the Guardians, it doesn't reflect the contracts Andres Gimenez and Trevor Stephan signed before the season. Not a huge issue, just wondering.

Running the app as Administrator should fix the "cannot write to folder" issue

The live start doesn't typically update contracts afaik. These are both updated in the db though, and will be in the next patch.

The file host for this really needs to be updated. Back to really slow D/L Speeds consistently.

This is fine on our end, I can download this in a minute or so.

It's likely a slow CDN in your area. If you have a VPN, try switching to another area and this should be faster.

NVM, like magic it all of a sudden went back to it's normal speed. Funny coincidence.
