Crash when trying to create a Fictional league

Im trying to start a fictional league, have tried 3 times and all three times when I hit the create league button it starts to load it and then crashes.

It is a 2 league 3 divisions 4 teams each division 24 team total league not sure if that is needed but figured I would put that in there.



I have the game on Steam

I have updated the game as of the 3-31 patch

Hey Saejr1,

I was able to mimic the same custom game startup with the 2 leagues, 3 divisions, 4 teams in each division and it went through ok. Are there other settings that you're changing besides the league structure? If needed I would throw the recommendation out there to reinstall the game via steam just in case something got messed up in the last update. Also, does it crash on every new fictional league you're trying to make or is it just happening in this one instance?

I deleted the game and reinstalled it

I tried to create another fictional league. This time I used the league creation wizard only thing I changed was adding a 3rd division with 4 teams in each division

It crashed during the checking league logos

tried the creation wizard 3 times and crashes at same point

the 3 other times was using the advanced mode and making changes I can get those changes when I try again

Tried another league using the Creation wizard and just left it all the default stuff it starts with and it loaded a bit longer after the league logos but crashed again

Ok, that sounds like something's wrong with the game's access to creating those files. Since it seems to happen at every league creation moment when it builds up the files needed for the save game. Did you install the game through steam to a secondary hard drive by any chance? We also may need to look at running steam as administrator and OOTP as administrator in case a program or something is blocking it from being allowed to create those files.

Last question are you Windows or Mac?

I have it installed on the same drive my steam is installed on which is not my C drive.

Im using Windows

So I installed it on my C drive and it is working now at least for a default league I will try setting up the league I want and see if im good to go

Just created my league they way I want it and it went through so looks like that was all that was needed
