I can't speak for others but I view this as cosmetic and less important than things that impact gameplay.

Hi - I believe Hans Crouse was DFA'ed in the 2022 offseason, though he is appearing on the active 26-man roster to start the 2023 season.
Also, not sure if you add these guys, but the following are on the current 40-man roster, but are not on the game's 40-man roster: Simon Muzziotti, Jhailyn Ortiz, Johan Rojas, Dalton Guthrie, Kody Clemens, Michael Plassmeyer, Luis Ortiz,Andrew Vasquez, Erich Uelmen. Thanks!

We should've added a note about this to the initial post, but unfortunately, we're not able to set the specific 26-man and 40-man rosters to exactly match real life.

All we can do here is adjust ratings to 'encourage' the AI to make the 'right' choices as much as possible.

We'll take a couple more passes through the league to do this within the next couple weeks, so hopefully this will get a bit more accurate each time. It will never be perfect though, as the AI has a mind of it's own in these areas.

Zach Greene (NYY) is listed as a Rule 5 pick and must be on the roster all season, when in reality, he was just returned to them by the Mets.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa has been playing CF for the Yankees this spring, so he should probably have some experience there, same with Judge in LF.

This issue with not being able to import multiple team options is a huge issue. Is there no way to correct this manually?

Cardinals SS Paul DeJong for example is required to get a contract in 2024 in the game, but there is no way that happens in real life.

Fixed Greene and gave some CF ability to Kiner-Falefa.

Judge, I do not want to give LF ability because it would possibly encourage the AI to put him there by default in preference to RF or CF (the AI can be weird with how it assigns things with several multi-position guys lined up for the same spots sometimes).

He'll pick this up super quickly if you play him there in couple games anyway.

Yes, you can go into commish mode and just delete the contract for that year.

and just a general complaint, but why does the game make Miles Mikolas a bum every year? He's not rated badly by the rating bureaus but in the game he's always worse than nearly everyone else.

Ratings are based on ZIPs projections.

Miles is projected as a 2 WAR pitcher.

I don’t have the game in front of me, but I’m assuming a he’s probably a ~50 type overall pitcher, that is a 5-5-7 (stuff/movement/control)?

Makes sense, thank you. Not a big issue with Judge really. I don't envision him playing much LF.

-Masyn Winn should lose his experience at 2nd and CF as he's exclusively played SS with the exception of an inning as a pitcher. Also he should have his arm updated to an 80 grade
- don't know if this was one of those unavoidable roster issues but Wilking Rodriguez starts in Memphis but he was the Cards Rule V pick
- Ian Bedell will be rule V eligible at the end of the year. Sounds like you are already aware of possible issues with COVID years and service time
- for some reason Won-Bin Cho is named Do-Hyun Shin in the game

I saw that too, though a number of Korean players have similar issues - I think they said it was done for legal reasons?

So when you start the game there's players on your 40 man with no major league contract. Obviously once you start the season they get given the minimum major league salary, which is fine. However because when you start they basically aren't getting paid it effects your finances immediately.

I started a game with the Angels and i had $200m commited in player salaries for the year. I did nothing, promoted no one, just started the season with the roster and then that number went up ti $207m because of the guys on my 40 man who didn't have contracts all suddenly getting major league minimum. I spent all my available money on player development not realizing i actually had that extra $7m to pay.

Surely that needs to be looked at to give an accurate pictures of a clubs finances at startup?

Twins SS Carlos Corea's contract is not correct. It looks like it's one of the first 2 contracts he signed, before the were voided from the physical. It's in at 10 years, 262M. I think the Twins contract is 6 years.

I think Joey Ortiz on the orioles needs an increase in defensive ratings. He’s regarded as maybe the best defensive middle infield prospect the Orioles have.
