Julio's Contract

Is what the dev's have for Julio's contract in game staying this way? A 12 year $194mm deal, with a team option after the 9th year? I get that his real contract is pretty complicated, but it essentially guarantees Julio $210mm over 12 years and could very well end up at over $450mm over 17 years.

As it stands, he's got a 12 year deal at an AAV of around $16 million.

I'm pretty sure there is a disclaimer that says contracts are fictional

Yeah when you start a real league, there is a disclaimer that pops up saying that contracts are not what they are in real life. At least it did in the past. I've never understood why that is but I'm sure there is a legal department that knows the reasoning.

I'm sure that is a stipulation of the MLB license.

Also a limitation of the still simplified financial system is that contacts are still pretty “basic”

I'm assume it's more to do with this then anything else. Some of these contacts get pretty complicated, plus coding for the AI to use them realistically must be a nightmare

Yeah I might just commissioner mode and increase his salary if/when he hits those escalators in game
