This is dealing with the international Amateur free agents (what used to be the "July 2" group, although now sign in January). I touched on it briefly in the podcast this week: https://ootpnow.libsyn.com/ootp-24-p...ad-matt-arnold

But the general part of it is that those prospects will show up a few months before the signing deadline, and you will be able to run a monthly mini-camp with smaller groups of prospects to get a deeper scouting take on them, and also influence them to like your team more. You only get a few of those camps, with only a few invites per camp, so there's some strategy involved in deciding who to invite in the leadup to the signing period opening.

That sounds great Matt are there any changes to the international discoveries process though? Right now it feels a bit random.

Matt just wondering not sure how you knowledge of hockey is but was wondering as a comparison is this international thing kind of like a NHL rookie camp but for International hitters. Also if we start a save now how would that affect those saves from ootp would it still have those camps or is it better off to wait until 24 comes out on the 24th of March

NHL rookie camps tend to be after they have been drafted, where this is a camp before you have rights to the players. It's more akin to running a private combine before the draft.

This new mode will basically start in the next IAFA period after you import the game. Depending on when exactly in your season you import, you might get a shorter IAFA period the first year, or you might even end up skipping this camp piece and you will just have players created more or less like in the past.

How about a Pre Draft Camp because MLB has one before Draft.

If I understand correctly, this does not replace the Scouting Discoveries right? This is just for the signing period (which can be turned on or off itself)?

I wish they did this with scouting discoveries too but this is different.

Question… I normally take one of the old Indy leagues and turn it into my custom league in a standard version.. my question is if I create a custom league would u still have the international training camp even if it’s a custom league would u still have it even if it’s not mlb league?
