Saved game went corrupt

It looks like I have run into a major issue with my 2024 St. Louis Cardinals franchise.
I had just finish it up play last night/this morning and shut down the game.
Than, I remembered a roster move I needed to make.
When I went to open up the game, I got this message: OOTP cannot load this database because it has been created by an earlier version of OOTP. Please use the "Import OOTP22" to import the database.
After hitting OK, I got a second message "The loading of the database failed. It is either corrupt or a save-game from an old version."
Is there a way to fix this?
