Historical 2022 Draft - Not Enough Players

In my historical league, which started in 2010, I noticed that the draft classes have started coming up short on players. In 2020 and 2021, the last 4 teams each year were not able to draft anyone as we ran out of players to pick. I had to hit the "AI Pick" button to advance past my pick and ultimately finish the draft. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal as those final guys rarely make an impact but in the 2022 draft, there are only enough players to get into the 3rd round.

Is there a way to regenerate the draft class? I have tried reloading from a previous save (7/2/22) but keep getting the same result.

Historical Draft Classes are currently filled only with players who have played in the NHL/WHA/PCHL (with the odd exceptions for some Europeans who are needed to fill tournament requirements). Jeff is actively backfilling all draft picks, but it takes time to add all of them.

So when you get really close to current day, the classes are very small - however the game will open up again if you go past modern day.
