Number of MLB trades
I don't know who needs this data, but I found it impossible to find reliable data on the number of trades that take place each season in the MLB. Therefore, I went to Baseball Reference and compiled the data myself using their transactions listhttps://www.baseball-reference.com/l...sactions.shtml.
I included two categories: trades and purchases. Trades are player-for-player deals where at least 2 players are exchanged in the deal. Purchases are player-for-cash deals where only 1 player changes hands for cash considerations. I do not see this happening naturally among the OOTP AI- only if initiated by the human player. I just wanted to see how my fictional league's trade volume stacks up against the real MLB- instead I spent 3 hours searching the web before spending another hour-plus compiling the data myself.
