AI Sim, but watching games. Changes different?

I've got the AI doing everything. But I'm watching the games. I'm wondering if watching games changes what the AI does as opposed to if I didn't watch.
I.e. decisions to change pitchers, batters, or change position roles. Or send someone down, to bring someone up that you know from history (oh, right, this is a historical sim) will be a call up star for that season).

Yeah it really is nothing different. The entire game is a sim engine, so even when watching the games out the plays are already predetermined same as always, they just happen in real time.

Watching a game get simmed can be different than just simming a game. If you play as manager and set up all of your strategies so that you can sim, this will likely be different than when you watch a game being simmed. This is because you can't use your manager's strategy settings or you will be doing more than just watching. In order to just watch, you have to turn everything over to the AI, which in OOTP23 means your bench coach. So any game you watch being simmed will do so with all of the strategies and preferences of your bench coach instead of your manager's settings. I think this is only a problem if you play as manager and sim.

It took me years of complaining about how the OOTP AI didn't seem to follow my strategies and settings whenever I watched a game being simmed before I realized why I was seeing this. Since I doubt many people play as manager and sim their games but like to watch a game being simmed once in a while, I may have been one of the only users experiencing this issue. But it is something to keep in mind if you normally sim as manager but like to watch some games being simmed too.
