If I change my job from GM/Head coach to just GM with the editor, will game work correctly?

As the title says. Will I be given correct control of the team? Or am I basically stuck as the GM and Head Coach both if that's what I chose at the start of the save?

Sorry, I mean the game editor available with commissioner mode. If I go to my own profile it's possible to edit my job with a drop down menu.

Just hire a head coach and it'll switch you to GM-only mode. That's safer than doing it via an edit.
