I've never actually participated myself, and I'm not sure who usually starts it or when the tradition started, but don't people post player pictures whose numbers match how many days until release?

I'm cautiously (but only cautiously) optimistic that the new programming crew can hit the deadline this year. But I don't think it's a slam dunk.
