But we're years away from getting it in the game and it would cost something from Microsoft or Google or whomever. But I'd sure call them up and volunteer to train it on baseball. No company is running this many baseball games with this much data and reference points across all its users ... such that OOTP could be used to teach one of these AI bots how to understand baseball... and that's one thing those firms value right now. Training it on specialized uses.

At the moment it's free online. Not sure what their future plans are. I've been using it for my league with mixed results. It has a tendency to "make things up" sometimes as fill-in, and you have to manually check the results to take those things out.

It's probably a toss up as to whether it's faster to write your own stories or use ChatGPT depending on how comfortable you are with writing in the first place.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if ChatGPT becomes part of OOTP assuming they can afford the cost AND com2US is willing to invest in the classic part of OOTP.
