Draft picks that go unsigned
Is there a league wide report that shows all the players that were drafted, but could not reach an agreement and will be returning to the draft the following season?

There's not a specific report that I'm aware of, however if you look at the Major Transactions Report the day after the signing deadline, you'll see who signed and who didn't.
The report won't be there next year however, but could always take a screen shot of that page and save it for reference. |

There may be a way to do this using short lists.
1. As soon as draft is done make a filter for rounds 1-5 2. Make a Short List, something like "2023 Drft Rnd 1-5" 3. Mass select the round 1-5 players and add to shortlist You now have a permanent list of round 1-5 selections on your short list. Rounds 1-5 are default(?) for compensation pick eligible. If you want the whole draft you'd have to shortlist the whole draft. When you want to find out who signed.. 4. Open the short list. 5. Build a view that includes HS\Co 6. anyone drafted that did not sign will still have a listing under the HS\Co column What you will not see is what team drafted them if you have that column in your view. Nor will you see the actual round selected, though this information is listed on the player's history tab. Check out my screen shot below. From here you could have a view like mine or add or remove to whatever you think would be useful. It sounds like a lot when I write it out. To actually do it wouldn't take long with the most important part being to remember to capture those first five rounds in a short list. The screen shot here was not made from the draft it self. It is my last season draft board short list. So my shot while showing unsigned players is from my whole board and not the first 5 rounds. Once a player goes unsigned he cannot be sorted by draft team, date etc. Though his history shows drafted and "did not sign" this screen will consider him undrafted when filtering. This is why it is necessary to short list those first 5 rounds before any signing has taken place, IE sorting by round 1-5 will not work once the signing period is done. I hope this all makes sense? ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: You'll see guys like Aguilara are listed as college seniors. For clarity at the time of the draft he was a junior. So this must update as soon as the signing period is over and they have returned to school. Last edited by Sweed; 02-22-2023 at 01:45 PM. |
