Choice Pack Frustration

I just need to vent a little bit about Choice Packs for a second. First, I have to say that in general Choice Packs are a really cool addition to the game. They're an idea that I and at least a couple of others threw out 2 years ago as a potential addition to make things more interesting.

Now for the part that could use some improvement. I've finished in the money for my last three PD 128-team tourneys (yielding a Silver Choice Pack and two Low Diamond packs). Every player in the Silver Pack was in a CC5 mission and appeared to be useful cards for tourneys. But the Low Diamonds were all from the initial batch from when the game launched. They're dreadful cards compared to the subsequent Diamond releases. They aren't useful in any league above Iron, useless in any kind of tourney and worse still, not in a single mission. As a consequence, you would be hard pressed to find a buyer for them if you want to unload them. It would be a better outcome to either draw the pool of players from all historic Low Diamonds or perhaps offer the user a choice of one of the cards or a fixed amount of PP (say, 15,000 for Low Diamond) in lieu of a card.

Finishing 3rd/4th in a 128 team tourney should result in a reward that is better than finishing 5th-16th. Right now it certainly is not.

There's been a lot of frustration about this over on the OOTP Discord even though we were told earlier in the year that the TB1 and TB2 cards would come back at some point. The popular theory though (and it's just a theory) is that at least some of them will be popping up in the last two rounds of milestones missions. So If I was you I'd hold them for a while.

They also ran an informal poll asking players if they wanted the packs to stay as they are now (with TB1 TB2 and TB3 all having separate choice packs) or if all the TB card should just be dumped into one big pool and your choice packs would have a mixed bag of all of them. The results weren't made public, but anyone I talked to picked option B.

Congrats on the wins!

Only play in tournaments that offer TB3 cards as rewards?

Hopefully you didn't sell them - these are about to get very expensive after Milestones 2 or Milestones 3 mission sets drop.

Yes, expect these cards in missions.

I sure hope so. I just saw that I got a 3rd TB1 Low Diamond CP last night. I made sure I checked which batch they were going to be from before I signed up for my next round of PDs.

This game died the day it was sold to Com2Us. Sad, but expected.
