Edman not picking up catcher rating bar

Is there a reason that my Tommy Edman live card can't pick up a single point on his catcher rating or do I just have some sort of graphical glitch? It says he can train in catcher, his potential shows a whopping 11 () but even after 68 games started and 583 innings at catcher it still didn't open up the ability bar for him. I mean, I expected his defense ratings were going to make it go slow but this seems a bit beyond extreme for even a single point.

Honesty, the whole thing just started as an experiment on my staff/ stadium/ global strategy but spun out of control into "how many dang games/ innings is this going to take for a single point?" then into "The season is over and so is this dang experiment...but I still want to know where that point is!"

According to B-ball Reference, Tommy Edman has never played a single inning at catcher. Therefore, the fact that the card says he can train at catcher must be a misprint and I don't see on the card any potential at all for catcher.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I suffer no delusions that Edman has never played catcher and shouldn't be able to learn it but that doesn't appear to be what was put in the game. If you give me a shiny, red button then I may just push it. That's why I was wondering if I just have some weird game glitch going on because the number of games/ innings played at the position should be plenty to unlock at least a single point

As you can see, he's showing trainability at C, they've given him catcher ability and catcher arm ratings, and a potential for 11 catcher rating (which would seem to fit with the low ability/ arm). It's just odd.

I invested 1 PP to buy the card and see for myself. It has 0 potential at C with ability to learn. So you can play it at C, but it will never gain a single point. If every card has to be manually made and there are 800 live cards to be made in a very short time, it is easy to see how something like this could creep into the game.

It is must be like Brooks Kieschnick which has a stamina rating of 1 which must be a mistake. Probably the Hold Runners and stamina ratings were reversed.
