Welcome to the basement. Give Title Bout 2.5 a try too.

I still check in occasionally just to see if there is any positive news on TBCB. I do read the Titlebout II Facebook page that Jim Trunzo is a big part of. I have not bought that computer version of that game yet but am tempted from time to time to try it. If that game ever added the scheduling, tournaments, rankings similar to 2.5 I would for sure give it a try.

Still here ...

Still posting, but slowing down in the real-life progress of my Uni which is now up to Nov. 1948 (most recent post was earlier today). Obviously, not checking in as often as I missed this thread which started a few weeks back.

I'm still around. I want to do updates, but my game isn't working. I should be back up and running shortly.

I have not visited this part of the OOTP forum in a long time and have not played 2.5 in a long time. Recently I was playing WMMA5 from Grey Dog, and that made me want to revisit one of my TBCB universes.

Still around

Yep, still check from time to time. Just recently purchased the latest version of TB 2 from Trunzo. So good to see so many still around and kicking!!! Hope all is well. Your old friend, Hugh

It's all about YOU!

Hi Cap,

Truthfully, I only stop by here to see how YOU are doing!

If TB has an update, it would rank up there with the RESURECTION!

Hang in there, my friend.

Johnny

I can't this community is still around. Title Bout Championship Boxing in it's various iterations must have been half decent to have such a following after so many years. I just re-purchased the game and am learning from the online manual. Hopefully you all won't mind some stupid questions incoming.

Ok, here's one. I've created a couple of universes......one heavyweights and light heavyweights and one middleweights/welterweights.
I've got all of the tomato cans updates but I'm wondering how the devil to work the scheduling. I'd like to have a group of the decent fighters separate from the tomato cans and schedule appropriately. Then schedule a fight card occasionally for title fights. Is this something that can be done? Having problems with the scheduling in general.

I only use heavyweights as I found it too overwhelming to use even eight weight classes.

I have five or six regional organizations: North America, Canada, USA, Europe, British Empire, Australasia, South Afrika and Latin America. I've assigned all fighters to one or more of these groups. For instance, Mexican boxers can be both North American and Latin American. I keep "ALL" for world rankings as was suggested by member Conn Chris.

Once you've organized your boxers, you can use the Auto-Scheduler to stage rounds of fights to build up the records of the fighters. You may want to exclude the top-rated fighters and hand-pick their opponents as a manager/promoter would do so they rise to the top of the rankings in each region and overall. I have my AU setup so a fighter needs 15 fights to be eligible to be ranked. I never use the auto-scheduler for title fights because I want to see those in action.

I hope this helps. Check out the Inside the Ropes segment of this forum for some ideas.
