[quote]I don't suppose your old man knows you're starting a new thread, instead of replying to the relevant thread? He really hates that.<hr></blockquote>
Funniest post in an overall hysterical couple of threads. [quote]My old man is a hell of a guy and is very well respected in real life. Nobody backtalks him<hr></blockquote> I'm trying to stay neutral in all of this, but one has to admit, that's the ultimate bitch out - your son, having to post in your defense? This is comedy at it's grandest form, gentleman! You've got to take it on the road!! |

I was all prepared to drop this, but certainly not now. I have no doubt that Big Johnson and Malleus Dei are one and the same.
This is downright comical. |

It is pretty funny that this continues, but your right it is an open post. I have to agree they must be the same people. If you are looking for respect on a message board, you have to earn it with dedication and time well spent. By flapping off and saying respect me that doesn't work in the real world anyway my 2 cents.

Probably because of my last post in the thread, because at the start I was trying to save this idiot from himself. I find it fascinating that several posters defend MD's asocial behavior by citing his contributions to OOTP. Many of the most vile figures of history made significant contributions also.... To paraphrase a previous post "there is no excuse for rude, ignorant behavior" no matter how legendary he/she may be in their own mind.

Just out of curiousity, when did OOTP v1.0 come out?

Geez people, now we have entered the realm of equating this trivial nonsence to "vile figures in history"....this whole topic needs to be trashed.....

Not sure if serious or not, but I think OOTP1 was released during May 1999.

I can see what Malleus was trying to say, it's just the way he said it that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I've known about OOTP since version 1. I didn't purchase it until version 3.
So since Malleus has been involved with OOTP since the beginning. I can see where he feels justified in trying to tell people to read the faqs, and to search the boards before complaining about their problems. However to come out and say that 99% of the problems with the game, are caused by the newbies is total nonsense. This is where the problem started. Respect is a two way street. I always try to give respect to others, and of course expect it back. I believe most of us here are decent people, who all share the love of gaming in general, and of course OOTP. Hopefully, we can put this behind us and get back to our favorite pastime, and helping Markus to make this great game even greater...

latricSB - And I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought this. I've suspected for months now because sometimes he gets his persona mixed up with the name he posts under.
You hit the nail on the head. I've gone through all the message's that Big Johnston and Malleus Dei have posted. In one instance Malleus Dei was caught red-handed using the Big Johnston persona, but then came back with the feeble excuse that his son had been using his computer. Read all their previous posts, you'll undoubtedly realize that their both one and the same. You simply can't come to any other conclusion. The evidence is overwhelming. It even seems to go deeper than this, and really makes me wonder what we're dealing with here. I recall an absurd discussion on the Google Bulletin Boards where someone by the name of Phil was arguing with someone by the name of NoOne. Phil was for DMB and NoOne was for OOTP. Both these guys made outlandish comments. I've since found that thread and read it over. Again, there's no doubt the Malleus Dei, Big Johnson and NoOne are all one and the same. It really makes me wonder how many other psuedonym's this guy has, and how many other personalities he has. This guy is weird, eerily weird. |

Heh and here I was for the better part of a week thinking that this was one of the more mature game forums
Nice to see that it has its healty share of massive egos and condescending "veterans" who know everything and share nothing.

Nobody backtalks him not even me and I am six seven. I just asked him what he thought of the reaction he got and he told me that it was really pretty funny and that the kids bitching were pretty much all 'badly raised ignorant snotnosed punks in need of a good ass whipping'. He's got no patience for you but when he reads what you write it makes him laugh. You won't see him for a while anyway cause he just a ton of new stuff for his birthday and we are getting High Heat 2003 when it comes out tomorrow. But I have one thing to say. Gforce22, you are the one with no credibility. My old man was writing about baseball and helping design and test computer games since you and I were both little kids.</strong><hr></blockquote> pathetic. |
