Why did Julio Rodriguez lose his rookie status in my online league?

In the off-season Julio Rodriguez was a rookie and top prospect in the Pipeline. When we hit the pre-season, he lost his Rookie status.

He has 45 days of major experience. He has 69 PA, in 22 games.

I'd upload images of this the forum is restricted to links.

Since my online league is manually implementing MLB's new CBA rules for extra draft picks, this takes him out of that process.

I've found other players this impacts (Cal Raleigh, Alex Thomas, Jake McCarthy, Brennen Davis, Vidal Brujan are just some of them).

This has to be a bug. It's unfortunate that there is no way to fix Rookie status.

If the new CBA will be implemented in OOTP 24, this bug needs to be squished.

Isn't 45 days of Service Time exactly enough to remove Rookie status?

That would make sense if that's the criteria OOTP uses.

According to Matt Arnold's post last year, OOTP uses 75 days, which makes sense if they don't want to include September service time.

If there has been a change, it should be noted in the manual.

Regardless, it doesn't fit some of the other non-Rookies I posted as examples. Davis, Thomas, and McCarthy are still on a minor contracts.

It would probably be easier to post actual screenshots if you want more specific advice as to whether this is a bug or intended behaviour.

With the shorter extended roster time, I think MLB shifted to use 45 days total, not splitting out the September callup time.

That's probably true in MLB but the game doesn't always follow MLB rules completely.

If it's changed in the game it's probably a good idea to update the mention of 75 days on the Player Development screen.

BTW, in the new CBA the extra pick incentives for giving top prospects a full year of service use 60 days of MLB service as the cut off.
