Celesten shows big tools across the board and has a chance to be a five-tool player if he continues to develop at a normal pace. The switch-hitter has improved in every facet of this game as he has matured physically in the past year, and he has a chance to have plus speed, arm, and raw power as a result. He also plays solid defense that will keep him at shortstop as he makes his way through the Minor Leagues.

The athletic Salas has a good feel for the strike zone and shows the ability to hit the ball to all fields. He shows good raw power, and it is expected to increase as he develops. He has a nice loose swing and shows the ability to hit home runs in batting practice and games. On defense, he shows plus potential because of his soft hands, blocking ability and receiving skills. Ford continued a strong line of catchers from Georgia when he became the fifth backstop from the Peach State in eight Drafts to go in the first round when the Mariners took him No. 12 overall in 2021. An alum of the DREAM Series, Ford’s offensive potential and athleticism have been on display since he signed. That was particularly true after he shrugged off a sluggish start in his first full season to post a .942 OPS from June 1 through the end of 2022.

The Mariners are confident that the Ford who performed in the second half of last year is the real deal and has the chance to be an outstanding hitter from the right side of the plate with at least above-average power in the future. He has tremendous raw pop and is just learning to tap into it. He has shown an ability to drive the ball to all fields, exhibiting excellent pitch-recognition traits and very solid barrel rates, especially for his position.

Jeter Martinez is a 2024 RHP with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends Elev8 Sports Institute. Long and loose young pitcher's build, very projectable physically. Hand drop/leg raise delivery, has a deep arm swing in back, high 3/4's arm slot, step by step mechanics that can leave his arm late often, especially on his fastball, arm is loose with nice arm speed and extension. Fastball sat in the upper 80's, maintained his velocity very well for his age and build, mostly straight, worked up in the zone often due to his arm timing. Got over his curveball well and the pitch showed good power and depth, promising second pitch. Flashed a change up and got a pop on it, another promising secondary pitch with good arm speed and some feel. All the elements are there for a very good young pitching prospect once his delivery comes together. Follow closely. Very good student.
