Expanded Custom League, News Bugging out

Have Expanded a custom league from a quicksave ..

and the news is all messed up, news from games in July ..

and poll results from 1980!

Sounds like something is broken badly in the news index, but we'd need to see the file to figure out exactly what, can you upload that?

Seems to run much too slowly as well. Trying to find the cause(s) now.

If it helps, the league was made in FHM 17 if not 16, and transfered to the latest games ..

I only really edit players and create players to make the rosters more fitting nationally ...

Other than that, I don't think I really do anyhting to break the game and I saw a few things before I expanded the world .. but didn't see the problems in the news until after I expanded ..

adding leagues and creating too many players seem to cause issues, perhaps ...

**** Another issue was when I added the new German based IHAe league, the original teams are lacking in the team history, only the newer teams have full histories...

Haven't been able to figure out the cause, but it looks like it's only the dates on the news you already see that's broken - if you continue the game, everything should happen (and be mentioned in the news) on appropriate dates. I ran it forward a few months and didn't see anything out of place, so you should be OK to continue with it.

Yeah, I was going to disagree with you, because the sims were not showing graphics ..

I went into the graphics files and found all kinds of missing and oddly placed things ... so that was fixed ..

And correct, after forwarding some and even saving fiels from rs_two files ....

All news seem to be correct ... hmm, looks like all is in place, and I managed to save my last roster edits as well ...

Ah, but there are more

... The news does advance correctly, but when the game is relaunched, the original relevant player is shown in the bottom, but the news is all different and concering other players ..

The playoffs disappeared for the main league

it often freezes when advancing

Looks like the playoffs are broken in that league's current season, but it corrects itself the following year (the regular season champion will be listed as the league champion for that year.)

The freezing may be because you've got all the games playing in 2D mode; with as many active teams as you have, that's going to slow things down considerably. Try switching it to "own league games 2D, rest classic" and see if that fixes it.

Jeff,

Didn't realize that the problems with the news was already existing in an earlier save that I made the files I sent from ..

Think it would be beneficial to take a look at it?
