Why is the AI signing players for my team?

First season with an expansion team, and I'll sim a few days during the free agency period and I'll see players that have been signed for my AA team, and a few for AAA? Can't remember this happening in the past?

It's annoying as I have to keep releasing these players.

Do you have the setting on allowing your Asst GM or minor league managers to sign minor league players?

Modern. I did however, transport the game from my old laptop to my new one. Not sure if that would affect anything? Interestingly, they're only being signed, and assigned to
my AAA and AA teams?

I also just saw that the AI is changing my scouting budget settings too?

Still, why should do not disturb cause this to happen if he hasn’t designated the responsibility to the AI?

Those things are literally in the definition of what "Do Not Disturb" does (in the paragraph right next to the checkbox).

The mode is designed so that you can fast-sim without needing to stop and make those type of moves.

Because that's part of the inherent intent of the "Do Not Disturb" toggle.

Yea I guess I’m just questioning the design more than anything. If you have your AI set to make changes with “Do not disturb” I would say yea I get it..but to have the AI set to not make any roster moves (perhaps outside of IL transactions) why not just have the AI do nothing?

I think the sim would break down as people retired or got hurt. It's a practical thing. Is there concern that despite the explicit descriptive nature of the "Do Not Disturb" override language, people blow past it? I don't think it should change the controls on the right side of the screen as, when you resume, you'd likely want to keep those defaults you set up previously. Would you want the font color to change to red when "Do Not Disturb" is toggled so the user pauses and thinks "Ok, something just changed" or as an easy question for a helper on the boards to ask to, for example, diagnose the issue the OP had? As in "Tell me, are the GM/Manager/AI controls in red?... that means you are in Do Not Disturb mode"

I think the design is explicitly to give people that exact option. The exists precisely so people can say "I want to sim forward X time and the AI to handle everything during that time as if I weren't there."

If a user wants to sim ahead with the AI not handling anything it's not supposed to, you would just...not click that checkmark?
