Improper Schedule Creation

I put this in bug reports but got no reply, so trying here

I just completed the 2023 season in a historical league that has been going since 1981. In this year, there was a problem with the schedule--teams only played 153 games, we had several stretches of 3 days off, and there was no interleague play despite it being turned on. I'm thinking this is because there was no real 2023 schedule to draw from, but is there a way to fix this before I start 2024?

Install a schedule that matches what you want.

For 2024 you can use a schedule from 2019, 2013, or 2002 without any problems.
