How does "Find a player" work?

Dear forumites,

When I tried to use the "find a player" function and asked for players with a potential of 55, I get a list of players with a potential of 50 (please see the screenshot). Can anyone help me to understand why that is the case?

My experience in the past is that if I asked for a list of players with a potential of 55, I should get players with a potential of 55 or above. However, from the example shown here, trying to find players with a 55 potential give me a list of players with potentials of 50,55, and 60, and nothing else. Is this how "find a player" function suppose to work?

Maybe it is using OSA in the search versus the view of the head scout? Toggle it so it can at least be eliminated as a potential cause. hmmm....

What is your scouting accuracy set at?

I used 100% accuracy. Yes, I had initially suspected this issue is caused by scouting accuracy. But: 1. I turned accuracy to 100%; 2. even if scouting accuracy is an issue, the list of player that is returned to me is all clustered with potentials ranging from 50-60, with no one above or below that range.

This seems like a bug to me.

Isnt this happening because you are using a scale and not stars since stars arent 100% exact.

change to stars and see if it works any better. could still be bug. but only thing that isnt default is you using stars

20-80 is more precise than stars. 13 units vs 10.
