How Do You Trade Away A Star Player?

I am quickly approaching the trade deadline of 2037 and i would like to improve not only my current rotation but also my future rotation and fill in some gaps with some minor leaguers. No matter what i try i can not trrade away my 2036 AL MVP Lf/1b. He's having bad season overall and will be a FA after next season. My AGM doesn't like any of the multi prospect/player deals.

i know after this season i have to unload both my Lf Mighty Joe Young, 2026 EBL AL MVP & the clone of 1b Willie McCovey, a 3 time IBL DA MVP. Young is due $21 M in Arbitration and McCovey $11M, currently. i also would like to either sign SP Christy Mathewson, 24 yo, to a long term deal this off season or trade him away as well. I have around $750,000 in money available as of July 2037.

I am fighting for 1st place, so keeping the 3 until the offseason is probably the best option.

I have yet to go through an off season with the new multi trade option.

How much is that player making this year and next? Usually when trying to trade an expensive player, you have to retain a portion of his remaining salary to get any offers. And it's also highly unlikely you can get multiple good players unless you eat a significant portion of the money.

FWIW, I don't pay any attention to the AGM. If there's a deal to be had that makes sense to you, then I'd pull the trigger.

AGM is completely useless. It is better to store a scout or doctor or coach in the AGM roal in case on of your top staff retires.
