Tap to click doesn't work on macOS 12.1

I have macOS 12.1, just downloaded OOTP 23 and tap-to-click doesn't work at all. It's enabled on my machine and works great on OOTP 21 - I have them side by side and OOTP 21 works perfectly (along with every other app I currently use and have ever used) while on OOTP 23 it doesn't work at all.

Let me know if there's any other information I can provide!

I know this sounds crazy simple, but try closing OOTP23 and reopening it. I can't find where I saw this mentioned on the board before but I think the resolution was something simple like this.

thanks - I restarted my computer/steam/game just now, but unfortunately it still has the same behavior. Tap-to-click will work like ~25% of the time. Very strange as I've never seen this behavior in any macOS app before.
