Historical Seasons Ratings & Rosters
I just purchased Go 23. I'm interested in managing a team through the just completed 2022 season (and perhaps purchase a true historical season such as 1983 at some point; )
I'm assuming the ratings will stay fixed for the entire season and perhaps for eternity. But Will the players ratings be reflecting anything that players on my roster actually did in the 2022 (or 1983) season? Or are those ratings more reflective composite of the previous few seasons along with a 'prediction' of how they would or should do in 2022? If a player had a terrible 2021 season but I'm playing/simming out /managing the 2022 season and they had a Great season in 2022, I'm guessing that I'm not really benefitting from anything great they may have done in 2022.
Also, rosters: I know there are a lot of options to manage rosters and trades. If a team made a major trade in the middle of the 2022 season - Do I have to create/propose that trade to the AI and hope it is accepted or is there a way that trade would be accounted for on the date it actually occurred? Same with minor league callups. I see it's easy to 'bring up' players so I'm more interested in how the game accounts for trades. I want the rosters I'm playing with in any historical season including the one just completed to reflect closely to the actual rosters on any given date. Is there any 'penalty' to using a player that got called up for only one month in September and using him the entire year? How are minor leagues accounted into all of this?
