AI and attitude to unwanted contracts

Just a quick question based around the title of the post. If I see that a team has a player on trade block with a huge contract and the player is never playing, I would assume the team is trying to offload the contract? Will they sweeten the pot for me to do this or do they still value the player based on their playing ability rather than the need to remove them from their roster? I was just wondering how the AI views this.

Great Question and I would like an answer as well. I always play with expansion teams so this would be very valuable. I definitely jumpstarted my competitiveness in OOTP this year by taking David Price (with his really bad contract) and a couple top prospects and some other guys from the Dodgers. Would love to do it with my FHM expansion team if that is an option.

The 'sweeten-the-pot' concept to get teams with cap space taking on your bad contracts with some high pick(s) attached isn´t implemented yet, tried that many times
