That is more revisionist history. OOTP has never provided information on features until they were imminent (typically along with the announcement of the new version of the game).

Developers may sometimes mention things they hope to work on/add, but there has never been any kind of ongoing "direction of the game" type of dialogue. At least not since the VERY, VERY early versions of the game. The Head-to-Head play issue that occurred somewhere around version 4? 5? 6? has made them very (understandably) wary of doing this kind of thing.

I banned him from my feed, but people keep quoting him. Not sure why anyone feels it is worth it to engage at this point.

Here we go. I get attacked for no reason when I'm suggesting to the Colonel to not limit himseof to game. I was completely civil. Didn't attack anyone or anything. I get flamed abd I'm the bad guy?

As someone who started with games such as MicroLeague Baseball and Strat-O-Matic, baseball sims for me are about managing my team's games and watching the action unfold. That's where the real fun is, and I'm too much of a control freak to let some AI manager take the team I've assembled and ruin it all with bad decisions.

Being able to make trades, sign free agents, and manage a roster is also great, which is why OOTP is such a fantastic option for a combination of being both manager and GM. I'm extremely thankful that OOTP eventually implemented 3D animation and has improved on the graphical elements to create a great in-game management experience in addition to a solid GM experience.

I certainly understand and appreciate the interest in improving the GM side. But one challenge the GM fans will always face is that hardcore sports sims are typically a combination of management and general management. It's been that way for 25 years because that's what the fans want. So there will probably never be enough focus on one or the other aspect of the game to satisfy those who want to only manage or only be the GM. It will always be a balance or compromise between the two.

But you don't insult anyone, right? Until now I haven't posted a thing in this thread and "I'm the bad guy".

Still waiting for you to answer my posts (that included data from my game) asking for data, from your game, to back up your claims.

At least it appears you've gotten past the "fool me once" or in your case "fool me five times" syndrome and have decided to skip v24? As I've said before the game shows no signs of going where you want it to go. You beat your head against the wall with the same posts over and over and? Nothing you want is added. I've given you the best advice I can, ie come back next year and read the feature list and ask the users that buy if the GM side has added the things you want. If not rinse and repeat the following year.

Or keep coming back, select star players from rule 5 (you said they were there and then moved the goalposts when confronted with data), then trading them to AI teams and crow about how the game doesn't close all loopholes and save you from yourself.

Still no answer either from you on the "task manager" loophole and when it should be closed. I mean if we're closing the rule 5 loophole how can we leave this one out?

Sweed you have a game you sim a day at time that you imported from ootp 4. Like any of your data is valid.

Try starting a fresh game MLB opening day and watch the hair ball ai. I don't need data. I explained the bugs, holes, exploits, ticket pricing.

Not my job to get data but it is the devs job to not have a hole riddled program
