International Amateur Free Agency Budget/Cap Question
In my league, international amatuers are posted in July. There are some guys with some upside who have yet to sign and it's now December after the season has turned to the offseason last month.
My question is whether signing those guys now would impact my ability to sign any new amateurs come the next July. Different calendar years, but not sure how or if there is a cutoff. Thanks for the suggestions. |

Coincidentaly, I just came to this conclusion myself the other day...
My Int. Am. FA hard cap is set to $5M. I decided to experiment w/ the "Generate Int. Am. FA" setting and raised it to max (A lot - 120 generated per year). For the first time I've seen, there were Int. Am. FA's left unsigned when entering the offseason. I had already maxed out my spending and couldn't sign anymore. But once the offseason started, I was able to sign a few of the leftovers despite the Int. Am. FA screen still saying I was well over the $5M cap ("You have spent $10M+ this year..."). When Int. Am. FA time came around the following July, I could not sign any newly generated FA's b/c of my spending on the leftovers from the previous year during the offseason. So yes, in short, if you have any unsigned Int. Am. FA's going into the offseason and sign any of them during the offseason, the amount will be deducted from your upcoming year's total.
