Editing existing and/or creating new players

Can any of you point me towards good how-tos/tips on both editing existing players and creating new ones?

Any help will be appreciated.

you need to be in commish mode for to edit or create players i believe. if you are playing "Challenge Mode" - that feature is not available.
i'm not at my game computer today - but as i recall - right click on a player and you can edit any of his numbers. After you edit a player - in order for the edits to take hold, i've found i needed to do an immediate re-scout - but not from your scouting page - can't recall exactly the page, but it's one of the game functions, right below the "randomize players names" (which you never want to do if you want to keep any semblance of sanity.)

to create new players - on the main game screen - right hand side - is a drop down menu where you can create new players, import players, etc. the created players go into your free agent pool, unless you specify them to the draft pool (it will only put them in the pool for the next draft though.)

sorry couldn't be more specific, but as i said, not at the game computer, and i can't recall the exact pages ... hopefully someone else will chime in with better specifics, or you can fumble through pages and find them. best of luck.

mitchkenn gave you some good information.

To get to the "re-scouting" screen... go to "Game" at the top of the main screen menu...the go to "Game Settings" and choose "Run Full Re-Scouting"... this will update any ratings changes you made so that you can see that they are in effect.
