Important: This patch is only for OOTP 23 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client with the public password below.
It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore or Epic version!

Hi everybody!

We have fixed a few more things, so here is a new public beta, version 23.8.95. If there are no issues, it will be released tomorrow.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta. This patch is compatible with the previous patch for online leagues - exports will work between versions, however both clients and the commish need to update to benefit from the online league fixes.

Fixed several live start issues (game batting/pitching sort order, default team rosters, etc…)
PT: added a customizable popup message for display

Fixed service time for minor league pitchers in live start
Saved scroll position in arbitration page
Fixed Hispanics FaceGen faces
Fixed Korean translation in the uniform dialog
Fixed normal map files loading bug
File names and subfolders can be specified in the uniform colors xml file
PT: Fixed user first name set to Jim
PT: Fixed some issues with loading drafts and players ending up in the wrong spots


How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 23 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 23
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp23betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Are the historical attendances fixed with this beta patch? I haven't downloaded any of these, so I'm still using the last official patch, and historical attendances are still often way too high - i.e. 68,249 at 52,000-seat Tiger Stadium for game five of the 1993 ALCS.

ETA: After realizing that was after using a Quick Start that I had created a while ago, I started a brand new 1993 game using the last official patch and looked at all of the playoff attendances, and they're still too high albeit not by nearly as much, like around 1,000-3,000 above a stadium's capacity. But, again, I don't know if this beta fixes this issue or not.

How can I tell if I already have the patch? I followed the instructions from the OP but when I re-open the Stream client nothing happens.Is the patch only for those who downloaded/Installed the game some time ago? I bought/downloaded/installed it 2 days ago.

This is the link to a beta patch, 23.8.95, that is about 6 weeks old. The current version is 23.9.102. Trying to load the beta would be going back, IE you wouldn't want to and also Steam probably won't allow it. Note how you are saying "nothing happens".

If you bought two days ago you should be up to date as .102 was released on Nov 10. To answer your question on knowing what version you are on it is located at the bottom of the splash screen. Since you bought from Steam your game will autoupdate whenever a new official patch is released. Betas may be offered at the top of this page.
