Suggestion: Ability to Compare Players by Scope

It would be great if when comparing players side by side, you could have more options in terms of what stats get compared. (scope). So if I am deciding between to AA players and I want to see which I would rather promote, I can compare by AA stats output. (or any other level or combination thereof)

I've been asking for this for awhile now. There are options on almost every stat page to select league level. I'm not a coder and can't imagine a coding reason this would be a hard add. Maybe I'm wrong?

Even better would be an easy way (ie: one that doesn't involve a lot of convoluted "OR"-statements in filters) to isolate just a certain set of players on one of the player screens (Lineup, Pitching, Players, Minor Leagues, etc). That way you could have just the 2 (or however many you want to compare) players on the list and could use any of your existing VIEWs to compare in whatever way you like.

Reading this made me realize one could create a "compare player" shortlist that, at least I think, would do what you are suggesting. Unless I'm missing something? It is brilliant and simple at the same time. Not only can you use it to compare who to promote within your team, you can also mix and match players from other teams too, for trades etc., customized to however many you want. Add players to list, compare, clear players from list and, you're ready for the next batch.

I use shortlists a lot and especially find them great for the draft. Not sure why this didn't occur to me before

Opening my game now and making a new shortlist.

Actually, yes. Making a new shortlist would be a pretty quick way to do this. Good shout.

Sometimes we don't see the forest for the trees. It took your post to open my eyes. This forum, though contentious at times, does a lot of good.

This is definitely a good suggestion, although I would still like to see them implement this just for ease of use. This is sort of one of those things I mean when I have said "streamline the UI" as a request for future versions.

It would give you another option for sure. With regard to clicks? Six of one, half a dozen of the other, I think.

In the end I'd like them to add the scope to the compare player screen just because, I think it would be an easy add and, I've asked for it a few(?) times before.

Yea, another example of streamlining the UI would be to "re-do" the way scouting tasks are ordered in the team scouting "task list".

I like that you can prioritize assignments any way you like, but the UI is so awful in trying to re-order...especially if you want to move a player from the bottom to near the top...drag and drop is not a good method here. I dropdown menu with numbers (places) would be more effective...but really you should probably have various boxes. The boxes could then be labeled as Urgent, Very High Priority, High Priority, Normal Priority, Low Priority, Very Low Priority.

Another UI streamline for quality of life.
